CDL Passenger Endorsement Training Program
The Passenger Endorsement Course at National Training Schools is designed for drivers who want to add a passenger endorsement (P) to their Commercial Driver’s License or Commercial Learner’s Permit. This endorsement is required for drivers who plan to operate vehicles designed to carry 16 or more people, including the driver, such as buses used in public or private transportation.
Drivers pursuing a CDL passenger endorsement must pass a specialized knowledge exam that focuses on passenger safety, loading and unloading procedures, emergency management, and other safety considerations. In addition to the written exam, applicants must successfully complete skills testing in a passenger vehicle. The endorsement applies to drivers seeking to operate a bus under Class A, Class B, or Class C CDL classifications.
This course supports drivers who are expanding their qualifications within the transportation industry. As part of CDL training in Florida, the Passenger Endorsement Course helps ensure drivers meet state and federal requirements before testing. Training may complement broader CDL programs offered through national truck driving schools and supports professional development for drivers seeking additional responsibilities.
