Minimum Entry-Level Requirements for National Training Schools

Key Rules and Policies for Students in our CDL School

The school will issue a prompt refund, if any refund is due, within thirty (30) days of cancellation. A full refund will be made promptly if the student is not accepted by the school.

If the school is unable to continue training due to circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to hurricanes, floods, fire, or extreme weather conditions, training at affected locations may be suspended for a period not exceeding 120 days. Students affected may return to complete training at no additional tuition charge.

Most students successfully complete training within the scheduled timeframe. In some cases, additional instruction may be required. Students agree to complete up to ten (10) additional training hours if necessary. No additional tuition will be charged, and the school will schedule any required make-up training. Additional training must be completed within sixty (60) days of the last attended class.

Rules regarding attendance and conduct are provided upon arrival for training. Failure to comply may result in dismissal and loss of training. Students who report for training under the influence of alcohol or drugs will not be permitted to begin training and may be rescheduled. Continued violations may result in permanent dismissal.

Students agree to attend training during any required hours within a twenty-four (24) hour period. Work-study projects may be assigned during evening hours while attending training.

All travel arrangements and expenses to and from the training location are the responsibility of the student. Costs for food, lodging, personal necessities, and required substance abuse testing are also the responsibility of the student. Students select and arrange their own lodging. The school places no restrictions on lodging or meal arrangements.

A student’s signature on the enrollment contract acknowledges that training begins upon acceptance by the school. Students authorize the school to provide access to their records to authorized employers and governmental authorities upon request, in compliance with the Buckley Amendment. Students also authorize the use of their name and/or image in promotional materials produced by the school.

Students enrolled in commercial driver training programs must meet all applicable federal and state requirements. To complete CDL training in Florida, students must successfully finish all required training phases and demonstrate academic and equipment-related skills outlined in the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Upon successful completion, students may be eligible for certification and CDL skills testing, including third-party testing administered by the school. Students understand that their driving record may be reviewed by potential employers.

Students enrolled in heavy equipment operator training programs must meet the admissions requirements listed in the applicable Course Catalog and successfully complete all required training phases to graduate and receive a Certificate of Completion.

Graduates may request refresher training for the program they completed. Refresher training is scheduled through the Training Director and provided based on availability. Training is offered on a per-day basis, with charges based on actual costs that may vary. Active military graduates who trained and graduated during military service may receive refresher training at no additional charge if completed within sixty (60) days of military separation.
