The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) is a federal program designed to help individuals who have been laid off, are changing career paths, or need new skills to secure employment. National Training Schools is an approved provider of training funded by State and Regional Workforce Boards. Eligible participants who receive WIOA grants may attend CDL training or heavy equipment operator training programs for little or no cost, depending on funding approval.
WIOA services are delivered through three phases: Core, Intensive, and Training. Applicants must complete the Core and Intensive phases before beginning occupational training. Once approved, students may enroll in programs that support entry-level employment in trucking or construction. This funding option is commonly used by individuals pursuing CDL training in Florida or heavy equipment training as part of a career transition or workforce re-entry plan.
